D.Lab
A series of independent training programmes giving social change actors access to practical tools and frameworks for training others in social entrepreneurship.
Equipping social change actors to train the next generation
D.Lab consists of a series of three independent trainings for social change actors who want access to the best tools and frameworks needed for training others in social entrepreneurship.
Each training lasts three days and is designed for participants who are new to concepts such as social enterprise, design thinking and human-centered design.
Through D.Lab, MCISE translates years of practical experience in social innovation and entrepreneurship into accessible executive education.
D.Lab at a glance
Core concepts explored through D.Lab
The training experience introduces participants to tools and frameworks around three central areas of social innovation practice.
Social Enterprise
Understanding social entrepreneurship and the role of enterprise models in creating sustainable responses to social challenges.
Design Thinking
Exploring structured approaches to understanding challenges, generating ideas and developing innovative solutions.
Human-Centered Design
Developing solutions by placing people’s needs, experiences and realities at the centre of the design process.
Learn the tools. Understand the methods. Pass them on.
D.Lab is designed not only to introduce key concepts, but to give social change actors frameworks they can use when training and supporting others.
Learn
Access practical tools and frameworks grounded in social entrepreneurship and innovation.
Practice
Explore concepts through an applied learning approach rather than theory alone.
Train Others
Strengthen your ability to transfer knowledge and support other actors in the social innovation ecosystem.
Designed for social change actors
D.Lab is particularly relevant for people who want to strengthen their knowledge of social entrepreneurship and gain practical frameworks they can use in their own training and support activities.
Programme trainers
MCISE has a network of more than 60 programme trainers who act as mentors across several national and international organisations.
Experience transformed into learning
D.Lab brings MCISE’s experience in social entrepreneurship, training and mentorship into an executive education format accessible to actors who want to deepen their practice.
The objective is to strengthen the people who, in turn, help build the capacity of entrepreneurs, organisations and communities.
