OUED NOUN INNOVATES

This program, launched in partnership with the Regional Council of Guelmim Oued Noun in 2020, aims to encourage communities in the region of Guelmim Oued Noun to invest in the field of social entrepreneurship, at the level of Guelmim, Tan Tan, Sidi Ifni and Assa Zag, with the aim of fostering development in the region while creating added value for the Ouednouni community.

Activities

Projects were able to be created and supported in their creation through several programs in the different provinces of the region. First, the Dare Inc program aims to support and incubate idea and projectand entrepreneurs in the transition from the idea phase to the prototyping phase, as well as facilitating access to their first customers through the development of their business models and market integration.

All of these trainings, workshops and sessions were provided by trainers and experts in entrepreneurship and laureates of the D.lab training program.

These projects are supported in pre-incubation for three months, which corresponds to the program of initiation and supporting of project leaders, through training bootcamps, focus group sessions and individual follow-up sessions.Then comes the incubation phase during which they are supported for a period of 6 months via a capacity building agenda and training bootcamps as well as the provision of experts for their specificexperts for their specific needs.

Another program “Mincom” aims to engage youth in the region in a dialogue on social innovation, in order to find innovative ideas that respond to different social issues in the 4 provinces of the region.This program was held under the theme: “How can the youth of the region Guelmim Oued Noun region can contribute to its development?

The program “Dare Space” is collaborative and open to the public. It aims to create a space for discussion around the different components of social entrepreneurship, but also to train and motivate the community through six different sub-programs Dare’Train, Dare’Dacha, Dare’Zen, Dare’Fen, Dare’dkika.

As for Tanara, it is a social innovation program that aspires to change the “mental maps” in the school system school system, particularly in high schools, by mobilizing teachers and parents around entrepreneurship. Within Tanara, Chabaka’s objective is to train and support associations in order to strengthen their skills and expand their social impact.

Finally, in partnership with Project SOAR, this program aims to strengthen the leadership and professional skills of Moroccan teenage girls in the region to help them complete their high school education and acquire professional skills.

Project SOAR recruited 8 regional facilitators, trained in the SOAR methodology, to deliver the 25 workshops to 25 participating girls in each province. So far. Over 50 hours of workshops and ⅗ Modules are already accomplished.
